Twelve years ago, after raising two children and enjoying a successful career in sales, I directed my art interests into painting on silk, paper and canvas. The media I now use are watercolors, inks, acrylics on canvas or paper. Typically, I produce series of paintings, often alternating between fine art and more whimsical images with bright colors and humor applied to everyday life.

When we lived in California for five years in the 90's, I belonged to the Pacific Art League and exhibited in three juried shows, twice winning honors. My watercolor entry in the 1998-1999 Bay Area PBS auction won top honors in its category and came in second in Best in Show. I twice participated in the Santa Clara County Open Studios; exhibited in Bay Area Galleries; and have sold in California and Oregon. I have been back in my Portland home and studio since traveling seems to inspire new visions and techniques, and after each trip I find myself eager to express a new range of creations. Lately, after travel through Asia and India, as well as a long auto trip to Florida and back, I find myself painting more open skies and experimenting more 'the use of light. Somehow various friends and their pets and humorous experiences often become subjects for whimsical treatments.

Many of my paintings are displayed at Heaven and Earth on SE Hawthorne, Portland, OR., and my studio is opened to the public about three times each year. I can make an appointment to see my work.

Thank you,
